Booked this hotel for two nights for a business trip. The hotel is centrally located and only a 20 minute cheap taxi ride away from the airport. A beautiful building and in immaculate repair - public areas tasteful and traditionally decorated with marble floors etc. My room was perfect, well furnished, well decorated and spotlessly clean. The public places of the hotel were equally stunning, plenty of space and a great modern lobby. Breakfast was inexpensive and offered plenty of choice. My room was at the back and very quiet, but the hotel is located in a quiet area so I would guess all rooms are quiet. Staff were pleasant and helpful - especially the slim girl on reception with floral patterns on her jeans - didn't get her name. She recommended restaurants and was particularly helpful. If I return to Oradea I'll stay again. For the overall standard and compared with western European prices my room rate was ridiculously low!

We loved this hotel. It had all the facilities we needed. The room was beautifully furnished with a luxurious look. Breakfast was excellent. The reason I gave te hotel 5/5 was that everything was perfect and the staff was friendly and happy to help every time you would ask something. For hotels of another (lower) category and price range I would consider these things just details, but Astoria is one of the higher-category hotels. A big plus was the restaurant associated with the hotel: great food and service, again with a luxurious look.

I have booked an apartment and it was really nicely furnished and veeeery big, composed of two rooms - living room with a nice view over a theater and bedroom with a king size bed. There were big flat TVs in both rooms. Bathroom was clean, Wi-Fi worked well and was free as well as a big private parking behind the hotel. Breakfast was included into a hotel rate and was rich and never monotonous. The staff was nice, they treated me with joy and smile. In general it was a nice stay worth money I paid. Quality of breakfast and behavior of personnel could be considered a plus for your stay in this historic and beautiful hotel.
